WiCyS (Women in CyberSecurity) is a global organization dedicated to advancing the role of women in the cybersecurity field. Their mission is to create a supportive community that fosters education, mentorship, and career development opportunities for women in cybersecurity, helping to bridge the gender gap in the industry. WiCyS’s target audience includes aspiring and established women professionals in cybersecurity, educators, and organizations committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the tech sector.
I wanted to share my experience managing the LinkedIn page for WiCyS (Women in CyberSecurity), where I played a key role in driving engagement and expanding their online presence. My goal was to increase awareness of WiCyS’s cybersecurity initiatives, boost engagement, and grow their follower base. Over the past ten months, I implemented tailored content strategies, leveraged LinkedIn’s unique tools, and optimized posts for peak visibility, resulting in an average 3-5% engagement rate per month. Additionally, through targeted organic social media campaigns and consistent content planning, I achieved a 33% increase in followers in 10 months.
